Koala figures as published at au.koala.com/products/koala-mattress on 18 September 2026. Mattress Crafters figures are read from this store as the page loads. Prices change, so check both before you buy.
The two mattresses are built differently and priced differently, and the table is the whole argument. The Boutique is a pocket spring hybrid with memory foam on top, sold from one warehouse with no showroom in the price, which is why a queen costs what it does. The Koala Koala Mattress (the original/bestseller, one step above the Koala SE) is foam only, kloudcell comfort foam over multiple support foam layers, flippable dual-sided design and carries Koala's own trial and warranty terms as shown.
Both come with a home trial, so the safest way to decide between them is to read the trial terms for each, check who pays if the mattress goes back, and pick the one whose terms you would be comfortable using.
Questions people ask about the two
Which is cheaper, the Boutique or the Koala Koala Mattress (the original/bestseller, one step above the Koala SE)?
The prices in the table are the current Mattress Crafters queen price read from this store and the Koala queen price as published on Koala's site on 18 September 2026. Both brands change prices, so the table is the place to check rather than this answer.
What happens if I return a Mattress Crafters mattress inside the trial?
You get a full refund on the mattress. The return is free if you sell or dispose of it yourself with proof, or a flat $250 if we send a courier to collect it. The full terms are on the 120 night trial page.
Is the Boutique a foam mattress or a spring mattress?
It is a hybrid. Memory foam and a convoluted comfort foam sit over a seven zone pocket spring core in most of our mattresses, so you get pressure relief on top and spring support underneath, and a partner moving does not travel across the bed.
