What is inside
- Gel infused memory foam. A gel infused memory foam that draws heat away from your body while it contours to your shape, so pressure relief comes without the overnight heat build up.
- High density foam. A high density foam that gives the comfort layers a stable, supportive base.
- CrafterCore Plus zoned HR foam. A high resilience foam base with built in zoning, so the support is targeted without any springs, and a CrafterEdge reinforced perimeter keeps the edges firm.
How it feels
Medium Firm. Medium firm all foam, no spring bounce
The Craft Cell is our all foam build, so there is no spring response at all. Gel cooling sits above CrafterCore Plus memory foam, with high density zoning underneath holding the shape.
It absorbs movement rather than bouncing back, which makes it the quietest, stillest mattress in the range.
Who it suits
Sleepers who want foam comfort without springs.
- Side sleepers
- Back sleepers
- Couples, movement is absorbed rather than transferred
- Anyone who dislikes spring bounce
- Sleepers with pressure point pain
- Sleepers who run warm at night

About the The Boutique Craft Cell
At the heart of the Craft Cell is CrafterCore Plus memofoam a high-density comfort layer that moulds closely to the body to help relieve pressure around the shoulders, hips and lower back. Beneath it, HD foam zoning provides targeted support where your body needs it most, helping maintain comfort and stability without the responsive bounce of coils.
Topped with CrafterCool-Ice advanced gel cooling and CrafterEdge reinforced perimeter for support around the mattress.
The edge supportive foam box reinforces the mattress perimeter, helping maximise the usable sleep surface and improve stability when sitting or sleeping near the edge. Made with CertiPUR-US® certified foams and delivered conveniently in a box, the Boutique Craft Cell is a specialist foam mattress for sleepers who want body-contouring comfort, reduced motion transfer and a more grounded sleep feel. The quality was never the corner we cut
A premium all-foam mattress for $649 sounds too cheap to be any good. The catch is that most of what you pay a traditional retailer never touches the mattress.
Cut the showroom, the commissions and the celebrity faces, and that money goes straight back into the mattress and into your pocket.
Being in the trade since 1963 taught our family which materials genuinely change how you sleep, like a real all-foam motion-absorbing build, and we back every Boutique Craft Cell with 120 nights to decide and a 15 year warranty.
The questions worth asking before you buy
What is different about an all-foam mattress?
There are no springs inside, so instead of a bouncy, responsive feel you get a grounded, cradling one. The foam moulds to your body and, crucially, absorbs movement instead of passing it across the bed. It is the opposite feel to a spring mattress, and the right choice if you do not like that float-on-springs sensation.
Will I feel my partner moving in the night?
This is exactly what the all-foam build is for. With no springs to transfer the movement, the foam soaks it up, so a partner rolling over, getting up or shifting around barely reaches your side. If broken sleep from a restless partner is your problem, the Craft Cell solves it.
Does it sleep hot the way some foam beds do?
That is the usual worry with foam, and it is what the CrafterCool-Ice gel layer is built to fix. The gel draws heat away from your body and the breathable knit cover keeps air moving, so you get the body-hugging foam feel without the overnight heat.
I would never buy a mattress without lying on it first. What if I do not like it?
That is exactly what the 120 night trial is for. You sleep on the Craft Cell at home for up to four months, not for two minutes in a showroom. If it is not right for you, you send it back and get your money back.* The risk sits with us, not with you.
Is it good for a bad back?
The memory foam moulds to take pressure off your shoulders and hips, while the high density foam zoning underneath supports your lower back and keeps your spine level. The grounded, no-sink-in-the-middle feel is one many people with a sore back prefer. This is a comfort guide rather than medical advice, so for ongoing pain it is worth speaking to a professional.
Are the materials safe and who makes them?
Every foam in the Craft Cell is CertiPUR-US certified, independently tested for harmful chemicals and low odour. And Mattress Crafters is an Australian, family owned business that has been in the mattress trade since 1963, just a family that has been selling beds long enough to know what lasts.
How does a foam mattress fit in a box?
It is compressed and rolled at the warehouse, which lets us ship it to you for free and get it through any doorway. You unroll it onto your bed base, let it breathe, and it expands to full size within a day. There is nothing to assemble.
*The 120 night trial is a money back comfort guarantee. A return can be started after the first 30 nights, and the original delivery and the return freight are paid by you, so what is refunded is the cost of the mattress. Soiled or damaged mattresses cannot be returned. See full trial terms
