The rest of the bed matters too

Most people spend months choosing a mattress and then keep sleeping on a flattened pillow that pushes their neck out of line all night. Pillow height is not a comfort preference, it is a measurement: a side sleeper has a wider gap to fill than a stomach sleeper, and getting it wrong undoes the spinal alignment the mattress is working to hold.
