Certified kids sleep at warehouse direct prices

Kids mattresses shouldn't cost more than yours

The big kids brands charge $475 to $840 for a certified single mattress. Ours starts at $379 with the same CertiPUR-US certified foam, the medium-firm support a growing spine needs, and a longer warranty than any of them, because we sell warehouse direct and skip the kids-brand markup.

Support that grows with them

What their spine needs at night

1

Their spine is still under construction

A child's spine starts life as a single curve, and the growth plates that lengthen their bones stay active right through the teens. The biggest daily pulse of growth hormone arrives just after they fall asleep, in the first stretch of deep sleep, and kids spend close to half of every day in bed.

2

What a saggy mattress does

A worn or hand-me-down mattress holds a fixed dip, so a light body rolls into the same hollow every night and the spine spends hours pulled out of its neutral line. That's the thing to avoid through the growing years, and it's a different problem from a mattress simply feeling soft.

3

How the Boutique holds them level

A child weighing 20 to 45kg barely compresses a surface built for adults. The Boutique's medium-firm feel and its 7 zone pocket springs flex just enough at the shoulders and hips to support a lighter body, so the spine rests closer to a neutral line while they sleep.

Certified non-toxic

Nothing nasty in the bed

Kids spend more hours breathing right next to their mattress than we do, so what's inside it matters as much as how it feels. That's why the Boutique foam carries an independent CertiPUR-US certification instead of a vague promise, and here's exactly what that certification screens out:

  • No formaldehyde and no ozone depleters in the foam
  • No mercury, lead or heavy metals
  • Low VOC emissions for healthier bedroom air
  • No prohibited phthalates or PBDE flame retardants
Real life proof

Built for the years that get messy

Spilled drinks, midnight accidents, trampoline practice when you're not looking. Kids beds cop it all, so pairing the mattress with a waterproof bamboo protector means the spills go straight in the wash and the mattress underneath stays like new.

It also keeps the mattress in warranty condition, so the one you buy for a four year old is still covered when they're finishing school.

Let them sleep on it for a school term

No showroom bounce test tells you how your child actually sleeps, so take 120 nights at home instead, which is longer than a full school term. If the mattress isn't right for them we'll make it right. The trial and the warranty are the same ones thousands of Mattress Crafters customers already sleep on every night.

Straight answers

Common questions

Is this just an adult mattress in a smaller size?

It's the same certified Boutique construction our adult customers sleep on, sized for kids beds. That's deliberate. Medium-firm support and certified low-emission materials are exactly what general sleep guidance points to for growing bodies, and making a separate "kids" version is mostly how other brands justify charging double.

What age is a single mattress right for?

Most families move to a single somewhere between ages two and four, when the cot or toddler bed gets outgrown. If your child is eight or older, or tall for their age, the king single usually makes more sense because they won't outgrow it before they leave home.

Why choose a king single over a single?

An extra $90 buys about 20cm of length and extra width, which carries most kids through their teens. It's the buy-once option, and it fits standard bunk and trundle frames too.

What does the certification actually mean?

CertiPUR-US means the foam is independently tested and certified free of formaldehyde, heavy metals and ozone depleters, with no prohibited phthalates or PBDE flame retardants and low VOC emissions. It covers what the foam inside the mattress is made of and what it gives off into the bedroom air.

What if it doesn't suit my child?

You get 120 nights at home to find out. If it's not right, contact us and we'll sort a solution under the trial. The mattress is also covered by a 15 year warranty for manufacturing faults.

Can I pay it off?

Yes. Afterpay, Zip and Klarna are available at checkout, so a $379 single works out to four payments of about $95.
