This free kit helps you sell your mattress on Facebook Marketplace. You do the selling and keep the money, and this page gives you the listing, the price and the steps.
What the kit is. A ready to paste listing for your exact mattress, a starting price, seven simple steps, photo and safety tips and a printable PDF. It is there to help you sell the mattress yourself.
What we do not do. We do not list, sell, collect or buy the mattress for you.
Your refund. Once you sell the mattress, your 120 night trial ends for it and it can no longer be refunded. We can only refund a mattress we collect or one you dispose of through the Return Hub, otherwise anyone could buy our mattresses, sell them on and get a full refund as well.
Try it for a week first. Many customers list it for a week and compare the offers with a return. A pickup refunds 100 percent of the mattress price less the $250 pickup fee, so if an offer beats that, selling is the better deal. If not, take the listing down and pick another option in the Return Hub while you are inside your 120 nights.
Your other options. Book a pickup for the $250 fee and get 100 percent of the mattress price back. Or take it to your local tip, or cut through the cover and foam so it can not be slept on again, film it and upload the video in the returns portal for 100 percent of the mattress price back with no fee. We need the video because without it someone could claim a refund and keep sleeping on the mattress.
A pickup return refunds 100 percent of the mattress price, and there is a flat $250 pickup fee. Selling costs nothing, and on our lower priced models it can put more in your pocket. Put in what you paid and see both side by side.
Asking price guidance is roughly 45 percent of what you paid, which is where clean, lightly used name brand mattresses tend to move within days on Marketplace. Your mattress, your price, so ask more if it is near new.
Put fresh sheets on, make the bed properly and open the curtains. A made bed in daylight photographs like a bed someone wants, a bare mattress against a wall photographs like a problem.
One straight on from the foot of the bed, one from each side, one close up of the label so buyers can see the brand and model, and one of the mattress stripped to show it is clean and stain free.

Open the Facebook app, tap Marketplace, tap Sell, choose Item, add your photos, paste the title and description, set the price and your suburb, and tap Publish. It is live to your whole region in under five minutes.
Reply to every enquiry with the same line: it is available, pickup only from your suburb, cash or bank transfer on handover. Serious buyers confirm a time, everyone else disappears, and that is the filter working.
Daytime pickup, another adult home with you, money received before the mattress leaves the door. Most buyers bring a ute or trailer, so you never lift anything further than the driveway.
