How it works

Two motors and one remote

The base sits where your existing bed frame sits and your mattress goes on top of it. One motor lifts the head section, another lifts the leg section, and a wireless remote holds whatever angle you set for as long as you want it.

Flat

Exactly like an ordinary bed. Nothing about the base stops you sleeping flat when you want to.

Head raised

Lifts your upper body so your airway stays open and you can read or watch television without a pile of pillows behind you.

Zero gravity

Head and knees both raised so your weight spreads across the whole bed instead of pressing into your hips and lower back. Available on the 2.0 and the 3.0.

Reading and television in bed

The most common reason of all. You set the backrest once and it holds, instead of four pillows that end up on the floor by morning.

Waking up sore

Lying flat holds your whole weight on your hips and lower back all night. Raising the head and the knees spreads that load across the bed instead.

A few degrees of head elevation opens the airway and most snoring settles down. A split king gives each of you your own angle on your own side.

Why it costs what it costs

The same bed through a showroom is a different number

When you buy an adjustable bed in a showroom you are paying for the building on the highway, the lights that stay on all night, the salesperson and their commission, and the advertising that got you through the door. None of that ends up in your bedroom, but all of it ends up in what you pay.

We sell direct and we do not have a showroom, so none of that sits inside our price. Our family has spent three generations and more than sixty years in the bed business, which is long enough to know what a base actually costs to build and long enough to have no interest in dressing the number up with a fake discount.

That is the whole explanation. There is no sale price here that expires at midnight, and there is no crossed out number that nobody ever paid.

Questions people ask first

The things worth knowing before you order

Do I need a new bed frame?

No. The base is the frame. It comes with its own legs and stands on the floor where your old bed stood. If you want to keep a bed head, most bed heads can stay and the base sits in front of them.

Can I use my existing mattress?

Only if it is flexible. Most pocket spring and foam mattresses will bend, but a stiff mattress will fight the base and can be damaged. That is why the kit includes a mattress built to flex with it.

How hard is it to put together?

Twenty to thirty minutes, and the legs are the only real assembly. It arrives ready to plug in.

What is covered by the warranty?

Twelve years on the frame and six years on the parts. The mattress carries its own separate warranty, listed on the mattress page.

What if I do not get on with it?

The mattress is covered by our 120 night money back guarantee. The base itself is not returnable, so it is worth reading the size and height details before you order. The base stays compatible with any flexible mattress in the same size, so a mattress change later does not mean a new base.

Is there a discount for seniors?

Does it make noise at night?

The motors only run while you are holding the button. Once the bed is in position it is completely silent.

What about a partner who wants a different angle?

A split king is two independent bases pushed together under a single king sized fitted arrangement, so each side moves on its own remote without disturbing the other person.
